Well, a sprinkler is just that, it's great on a hot day to cool off the kids - then dry off and become wet again, but it's just that...THIS SPRINKLER-SET IS MUCH MORE: you get a set of building pieces, different sizes and connectors, kids (and adults...) keep on changing and reinventing the sprinkler fun... Very cleverly idea, made of PVC pipes with small holes that spray (you can twist them to any direction), add the rubber tight connectors, 3-way & 4-way connectors, plus end covers and figure out the most fun - then change it all around for a complete different setup...Bottom line, the sprinkler is never a 'been-there-done-that-activity-anymore', there always something new going on. The larger sets even stand up tall, letting you creating spraying arches...Oh my, the wet fun in the sun just doesn't end...I like that my kids were able to assemble the sprinkler themselves without my help. That in itself was an activity. The sprinkler kept them busy for hours! Was a great thing to purchase for the long hot summer daysThe hose connector to attach the hose to the faucet is too small for an American faucet. I had to buy one then split the hose and wrap it in duck tape to join the two parts. It implied you could build it then take it apart for storage. It even comes with a storage bag. It's nearly impossible to dissmantle. As others have said, the concept of the "design your own sprinkler" sounds cool but falls short of delivery with this set. I requested the largest set and as others have said, no child can assemble it. The connectors require incredible force to engage and disengage, making reconfiguration a nightmare for most parents. I was able to easily assemble the set myself per the instructions, but when I started to let my imagination go wild, I quickly found out that I couldn't do anything I wanted because I was always short at least one connector. Honestly, they should have included many more connectors allowing the existing piping to be used as the customer sees fit. The only way to make this work would be to "downsize" the use of the set, leaving a lot of the poles unused, in order to get enough connectors to make a design work. Of course, if you downsize it too much, your kids won't be able to run through/under it.I didn't have any trouble connecting it up to a standard garden hose. They sent me a smaller hose with quick connects on each end to make the connections easy. Water pressure could be an issue, especially for the larger set. Obviously water pressure is different for every house, so you may or may not experience a significant enough drop in pressure to make this set unusable. As much as this could be fun for most families, I can't recommend it. Given how young the target audience is for this toy, it will only frustrate the parents. This is a difficult review to write. I love the concept of the Funphix Small Sprinklers Set. I thought it would perfect for my LEGO loving, creating, building kids. They loved the basic idea of it. Design your own water sprinkler / water park and have fun. Unfortunately, it requires a lot of parental involvement. I thought my ten-year-old and six-year-old would be able to handle it on their own, but it was too difficult. Moreover, the instructions are terrible. In the end, it took multiple adults to figure it out. The kids enjoyed it (after the adults built it), but it isn't a quick and easy summer activity, which means we probably won't pull it out of the garage often.I also order the large set, hoping they could connect and make a huge waterpark. Considering water pressure, this didn't work as well as I would have liked. The parts do connect though. This is a difficult review to write. I love the concept of the Funphix Sprinklers Set. You have to push one part of the connector in while pulling on the tube- it's virtually impossible without two strong adults.Once it's assembled, it's fun to use, but it's tough to reassemble into other configurations, which is the whole point of the set.
